Terms and conditions
Use of this website implies that you’ve read, understood and accept the following terms and conditions. Note that we may need to change them from time to time, and they may not be the same as the last time you visited. We reserve the right to change them whenever necessary.
If you do not accept them, we would advise you to leave the site. If you have an issue with any of these terms and conditions, contact us and we’ll see what we can do to resolve it.
Who are we?
Anything you buy on this site will be supplied by Beer Revolution, a craft beer, real ale and cider bottle shop based at The Old Storeroom, Hay Castle, Hay on Wye, HR3 5DG. Get in touch with us by phone on 07870 628 097 and 07866 384 339, or by email at email@example.com.
You must be over 18 to purchase our goods, in accordance with the Licensing Act 1964. If you’re under 18, you’re committing an offence by purchasing or trying to purchase intoxicating drinks. We may not process your order if we suspect you are under 18 - if this happens we will get in touch with you. If you place an order and it subsequently comes to our attention that you are not 18, we will refund your order less a £10 service charge, assuming your order has not been despatched. If your order has been despatched and is recalled by us because you are not 18, or if the recipient of the order is unable to provide proof of age upon our courier’s request, you will not be refunded.
Quoted prices exclude delivery costs. For more info see ‘Delivery’ below.
We do our best to ensure prices are accurate, but mistakes happen and sometimes a product might be listed with an incorrect price. If you buy something that is wrongly priced we’ll contact you before your order is despatched to confirm the actual price and ask if you want to complete your order.
Likewise, we try to keep on top of stock but occasionally you may order something that has become unavailable. Again, we’ll get in touch if this happens and we’ll try to find a solution. We may be able to offer an alternative. If we can’t, or if you don’t like it, we’ll refund you.
We cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of information supplied in product descriptions - they largely come from our suppliers. Likewise, a product description should not be read as a complete list of ingredients, particularly if you have food allergies or intolerances. (Some beers are made with nuts, for example, others contain lactose). If you are unsure about a product, or if you require a more complete list of ingredients, get in touch and we will contact the brewer on your behalf for more details.
Note that many beers we supply will be unfined, unfiltered and bottle-conditioned. Many will have a layer of yeast sediment in the bottom and many will be naturally hazy or cloudy when poured into your glass. If you would like more detailed information about a specific product, please contact us. Please also see our returns policy below.
We use Paypal to process online purchases. You do not need to hold a PayPal account to make a purchase using a debit or credit card.
The payment process does not give us access to customers’ card details.
Visit the PayPal website for information about their payment security protocols, buyer protection and more.
Orders received by 10am will be dispatched the same day. Orders received after 10am will be dispatched the following day.

Express Delivery is next day via UKMail and costs a standard £7.99 for the UK mainland.
Some very remote areas incur higher postage costs. If this is you, get in touch for a location-specific quote. If while processing your order we discover that postage costs are going to be higher, we’ll contact you to discuss the extra charge. If you don’t want to pay it, we’ll refund your order.
During checkout, you may request delivery to an address and to a recipient other than yourself, but the recipient must be 18 or over, and provide proof of age on request.
We will replace goods lost during transit.
Returns and refunds
Full refunds will be given for any damaged, broken or spoilt goods. Send us an email with your contact number. Explain the problem and we’ll get in touch. If you suspect a bottle has broken in transit, please take care opening your package and removing its contents - there may be broken glass.
Note that we cannot provide refunds for beer that is naturally cloudy, or because a bottle-conditioned beer contains sediment. Many of our products are unfined, unfiltered and contain live yeast sediment - they may make your beer a little cloudy when poured. If you really don’t like cloudy beer, or if you have an aversion to a little yeast in your glass, please get in touch and we can recommend some beers that are not fined and not bottle conditioned.
We would recommend you give your beer some time to settle after receiving it, ideally in a cool place such as your fridge. This will allow any yeast sediment time to re-settle.
You have a statutory right to cancel at any time from the moment you place your order until 14 days after you receive it. Contact us for a cancellation form in the first instance.
If your order has been despatched, you will need to return it to us within 30 days of receipt, undamaged and intact, and at your own cost before we can issue a refund, unless we have sent it to you in error or it is damaged.
We recommend you use a tracked, recorded delivery service and contact us before dispatch to ensure we will be present to receive your return.
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your return, in accordance with your statutory rights.
We gain information about you when you use our website, or when you write to us, call us or email us.
We won’t share your information with anyone else, and we have no access to your payment information, other than your email address.
We will add your email address to our mailing list and may from time to time send emails about special offers and stock updates. If you get a mailshot from us and decide you don’t want any more, just opt out of the mailing list.
